Volume 1, Issue 1 January 2002 NEW LOOK Welcome to the new format for The Caravan. Our very good friend Mark Hughes of Hughes Design Studio redesigned our look. We think he did a stellar job. We would also like to thank Edward Hofman for all the work he has done to update the web site and get this newsletter off the ground. Over the years people have told us that they truly like the way The Caravan is presented, not too long, yet filled with great insight. The new format will continue that theme and allow us to reach thousands of new readers. No more stuffing envelopes in front of the TV every month. Please feel free to forward The Caravan to anyone who you think would benefit from receiving it. Remember it’s free and will be sent by email once a month. As always, we would love to receive feedback. If the format could be improved, please let us know. If you have any ideas or comments, we would be happy to include them in future newsletters. Peace, love and happiness. The Humphry Group A CHANGING WORLD As many of you know, we deal with relationship management. We have developed a relationship management model called The Cooperative Action Model. Over the next few months, we will be writing about this model and how it actually changes behavior. But first, let’s have a discussion about the 2%. Remember that a 2%er is a person who knowingly is adversely affecting others. Since September 11th, life as we know it has changed. The attack on the WTC and the Pentagon has made many of us numb. We cannot and will not let the 2% run our lives. Many have asked what can be done and; can anything be done about evil? Well, a friend of mine, Bill Goodwin dug up this quote, maybe it will help. “The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.” Albert Einstein This quote is so true, but many of us do not take action against evil, as we think the 2%er has power. Yet in most cases it is we who gives that power to the 2%er. It is the start of 2002; a new year and a new beginning. Take control of your life by not allowing evil to enter. Always look for a cooperative action without losing a sense of self. Do not go down to the depths of the 2%. Think about how your actions are affecting others and do not allow the 2% to run your life. If we take action individually, that can translate into a major worldwide movement for peace, love and happiness. Ted Mouradian Humphry says…. “Humans are the only creatures on earth that destroy their own kind simply because one person doesn’t share the same beliefs as another.”
