EVOLUTION
It has been said that in business if you stand still, you are actually going backward.
This CARAVAN is dedicated to where we have been and where we are going.
It all began back in 1982 when I got my first paid presentation. It was a one day training seminar for Ken Hocken Real Estate in Cobourg, Ontario. At that time I was still a partner in the Real Estate firm of McGrew and Associates. Because of the success of our firm and my own personal selling success, people began to ask me how we did it. I began to write out how I sold and why I had such great customer loyalty.
While with McGrew and Associates I started a new company called Lemac Productions (Lemac is Camel spelled backwards) and this began our long running Camel logo.
In 1986 my first book, “The One Hour Qualifier” was published and Humphry the Camel was born. We (Humphry and I) began to travel extensively giving keynote presentations and day long customer service seminars throughout Canada, the US and as far away as Australia.
I found that life was getting too hectic, trying to sell real estate and travel the globe speaking, I had to make a decision and chose to be a full-time speaker and author. I sold my shares in McGrew.
During this period I was elected the youngest president of the Ontario Real Estate Association and subsequently was made an honorary life member. This was quite an honor and was important to me as I never want to lose my ties with real estate. It is a great profession and has been extremely good to me.
My presentations began to focus more and more on relationship management…your relationship with yourself, with others and your spiritual relationship. In 1991 I did a world tour. I was away for 6 weeks. During that time I said that I will always have the mindset that nothing is wrong. I will flow with whatever happens and I will let the universe conspire.
That trip changed my outlook on life and I began writing my best selling book “Best In Life” in an outdoor café in Geneva, Switzerland.
1994 turned out to be a banner year for me. I decided to go to Brock University and received a degree in sociology. I also partnered with Troy Brooks and we formed “The Humphry Group” (named after Humphry, of course) Relationship Management Consultants.
During my stint at Brock I completed the final drafts of “Best In Life” and found a great publisher named Joe Blades out in Fredericton, New Brunswick and the book was launched in 1997.
As well I began to develop a model on relationships. My research began in 1995 and the model was finally proven and completed in 1999. The Mouradian Model for Cooperative Action© was founded in 2000.
Keynotes were going well and The Mouradian Model© was being well received. Of course like many businesses, things changed after 9:11. People were afraid to travel and conferences dropped off. It was time to re-examine the business.
Troy was now expanding his expertise in Mediation and Ombuds consulting as well, he was appointed the Student Ombuds Officer at Brock University. It soon became clear that Troy wanted to expand his own career.
In August of 2002 my daughter Brodi joined The Humphry Group as my new business manager. She quickly got her sea legs and began to envision the potential in Employee Relations and we began to finalize the development of our Employee Relations Program.
That brings us to the present. It became clear that we had to move the business to the next level. And so we began to develop a new name, a new look and a new logo.
Therefore, it is with great pleasure and pride that we announce our new company:

Until then, always look for a balance and equilibrium to create a COOPERATIVE ACTION without losing a sense of self (Tenet 4, The Mouradian Model©).

Life is fluid…we must always look for ways to grow and learn. Embrace change.”
Brodi’s Bits
Thanks to all of the participants of the ‘Sizzling Summer Seminars’…they were a great success! And a special thanks to Information Niagara and all of their staff for organizing the seminars and to the Ministry of Transportation Learning and Development Network for providing such great facilities.
The course rating form showed that 49 people of the 51 participants checked off each time - ‘The course is useful and I believe it will help improve my working and personal relationships’.
Here is what some of them said:
“This course was very informative and above all truthful. I thought the course was delivered excellently.”
Your sense of humour and casualness are refreshing and much more conducive to a comfortable learning environment.”
As always you manage to point out the obvious and make it sound like new info that was missing and required!! Your seminars are always enlightening and spirit lifting. I needed that today. Thanks.”
